ABA therapy is individualized based on the client’s and family’s needs to develop new skills, shape and refine previously learned skills, and decrease socially significant problem behaviors. ABA is a scientifically validated approach to understanding learning and behavior by looking at the function of the behavior and the environment in which it occurs.
In-home applied behavior analysis therapy consists of highly flexible and adaptable programs that supplement or replace center-based therapy.
Parenting is a difficult job. We seek to make your job easier by providing you with resources, knowledge and skills to help you make a lasting change in your child’s life. Our goal is for your child to eventually generalize the skills learned in 1: 1 therapy to the home and community with your support.
Special Needs Tutoring
We have certified teachers on staff to provide tutoring to children with autism and other special needs. We can help students practice skills to help them meet their school based IEP goals, to compliment a home school curriculum or to help them retain skills during long breaks.
We will work with your child’s school to provide behavior support through observations, data collection, and teacher training.
Social Skill Training
Social skills training is not a specific curriculum, but rather a collection
of practices that use a behavioral approach for teaching social skills and competencies, including communication, problem solving, decision making, self-management, and peer relations. Social skills training can occur in both individual and group settings.
Skills that can be used in everyday life, and in different environments. Functional skills focus on areas such as chores, family, self-help skills (bathing, brushing teeth, dressing, grooming), employment, recreation, community involvement, health, and functional academics.
